We provide business development support to 180 small business members of Artisan Community Kitchen, helping entrepreneurs enhance their operations, develop sustainable strategies, and achieve growth. Our work focused on equipping members with the tools and knowledge to improve their business models and thrive in competitive markets, and we also support new members with food business licensing with King County and WSDA food producer permits.
City of Seattle ABC Program – Business Development Consultant
Contract Value: $250,000
As a consultant for the City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development ABC Program, we offer expert guidance to small businesses, including personalized 1:1 technical assistance in the business development category. Services included State of WA and city licensing, business plans, HR consulting, operational and process improvement strategies, government certification support, grant research, and more. This program prioritized equitable access, focusing on businesses owned by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women, as well as those serving underrepresented communities. In this contract we have served over 300 businesses to date.
WeFeedWA WSDA Technical Assistance Consulting to Nonprofits & Agriculture Companies
Contract Value: $100,000 (Subcontracted via Cascadia Produce)
Through our subcontract with Cascadia Produce under the Washington State Department of Agriculture’s (WSDA) WeFeedWA Pilot Program, we provided technical assistance to 60 farms and nonprofits. Our services included implementing technology solutions, streamlining HR processes, and advising on operations to help clients scale their activities.
King County Public Health
In collaboration with King County Public Health, we were tasked with assisting food businesses that were operating outside of regulatory compliance to meet health and safety standards. Our role focused on helping these businesses navigate complex public health regulations, obtain necessary permits, and transition into a commissary kitchen environment. Through targeted technical assistance, we provided personalized guidance to ensure compliance with local health codes and operational requirements. This effort not only brought businesses into compliance but also positioned them for long-term success in regulated environments.

WA State Department of Commerce Cannabis Business Technical Assistance Program Management and Consulting

As a partner with the Washington State Department of Commerce, we manage and delivered technical assistance for their Social Equity Cannabis Business Technical Assistance Program. In the program, we provided 1:1 technical assistance to small business owners in the cannabis industry, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, business development, and operational strategies to ensure their success in a challenging and highly regulated sector. We also managed an $8.1 million dollar grants program, and developed an Online Learning Program called the Cannabis Business Roadmap.
