About
Tim Potter is a Tax Advisor and CPA who helps people and small businesses make sense of accounting and taxes. Tim is the founder of 4th Corner Accounting, a practice that offers accounting and bookkeeping services to non-profits and small businesses, along with tax support. At Launch Industries, Tim works directly with clients.
Tim's path to running a practice began with 8 years in audit and later in corporate accounting. Over those years, Tim kept looking for the right combination of role, team, and company (and a workable commute, since this is Seattle). The search took a while. With encouragement from friends, colleagues, and family, Tim decided to stop looking for that fit and create it, building the role and the company he wanted so he could do the work he truly wanted to do.
The name 4th Corner Accounting comes from Tim's roots. Tim grew up in the Pacific Northwest, the "4th" corner of the US, and wanted to bring some of that region's peace and tranquility to an accounting practice. The goal behind the firm is simple: help people and small businesses navigate a complex and challenging landscape of accounting and taxes.
For Launch Industries clients, that means a CPA who has seen finance work from more than one side. Tim's years in audit and corporate accounting inform how books get kept and how taxes get handled, and the work at 4th Corner Accounting is focused on non-profits and small businesses like the ones Launch serves.
Outside of work on books and taxes, Tim spends time with family and friends, goes power-lifting, catches movies, and engages with a few favorite nerd fandoms.
